Nevada
At Reno Integrative Medical Center we provide patients with alternative cancer therapies as well as treat other chronic diseases.
Doctor Eslinger combines conventional, complementary and holistic therapies to treat adult cancers of all types and stages.
Wellness therapies are also a big part of our focus.
Nevada is currently one of only 2 states that offer homeopathic licensing. This allows for a much broader range of non-traditional treatments that cannot be administered in other states. Many still think that they must go to Mexico or Europe to get treatments blocked by conventional medicine.
As research reveals new discoveries, we are quick to incorporate them into our medical protocols. We do not seek to replace or eliminate traditional methods and, in fact, often incorporate such methods into our program. That is the beauty of an alternative cancer treatment center.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA AND STEM CELL THERAPY — A NATURAL WAY TO HEAL TENDONS, LIGAMENTS, DISCS & JOINTS.
We want to end your pain.
Sierra Stem Cell Institute is passionate about helping those who suffer from chronic, painful musculoskeletal conditions. We put your own stem cells and plasma to work, helping you avoid surgery and heal in a more natural manner.
A BETTER WAY TO TREAT ARTHRITIS, BACK PAIN AND TENDONITIS.
Surgery is not always the answer.
Narcotics are not a long-term solution.
We believe there is a better way and it’s available in Northern Nevada.
Sierra Stem Cell Institute was founded by Laurence McClish, MD and Andrew Wesely, MD in 2010. Realizing the potential of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and Stem Cell therapy to treat patients and help them avoid surgery and long term pain management, the two joined forces to form northern Nevada’s premier stem cell therapy clinic.
Our goal: Help those suffering from chronic, painful musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions to heal without surgery
Decades of clinical experience revealed that a large group of patients struggle with pain and limited function, but their condition does not warrant surgery. Pain medications, chiropractic care, acupuncture, physical therapy and steroid injections often prove ineffective. The emergence of biological therapies has made it possible to diminish pain and restore function for some patients while avoiding surgery.
WHY SIERRA STEM CELL INSTITUTE IS UNIQUE
While other medical practices may offer PRP and Stem Cell treatments, not all clinics are created equal. Here are some ways Sierra Stem Cell Institute is unique in the field of regenerative medicine:
Singular Focus
Sierra Stem Cell Institute is 100% completely focused on regenerative medicine treatment methods for orthopedic and spinal problems. Our treatments are not a “menu item” of a larger surgical, pain management, or rehabilitation practice. This is ALL we do.
Proprietary procedures
Sierra Stem Cell Institute uses our own methods of making PRP and Stem Cell preparations, not relying on commercial equipment or methods. Regarding PRP and Stem Cell preparations, a “one size fits all” approach is less effective. In-house laboratory characterization ensures consistent preparation maximizing the opportunity for success.
Your treatment is unique
Every PRP/Stem Cell preparation is customized based on patient needs. We only use the patient’s own (autologous) blood and tissues. Tissues and cells from other donors (allogeneic) or animals are not used. We make our injection methods as simple, natural, and effective as possible.
Characterization
The characteristics of our PRP/stem cell preparations are confirmed by in-house laboratory equipment. For each patient, our preparations are analyzed regarding platelet counts, white cell count, and differential distribution, stem cell count, and viability. When necessary, samples are also studied for cell surface markers using flow cytometry.
Safety first and always
Our treatments are carried out in a single visit on the same day so patient tissue and blood never leave the premises. Like an operating room, our PRP/stem cell preparation and tissue harvesting procedures are carried out in a sterile “clean room” environment and under sterile biosafety cabinets. Injections are usually carried out with either ultrasound or fluoroscopy imaging.

Dr. McClish completed a Master’s Degree in Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine and received advanced fellowship training in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. McClish has also pursued advanced studies in stem cell therapy. His main clinical focus is using a patient’s own stem cells to treat their arthritic joints.
ANDREW C. WESELY, MD
Dr. Andrew Wesely finished his primary training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1993. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pain Management.
Since 1994, he has been practicing pain management, focusing primarily on non-operative care for spinal pain and musculoskeletal disorders. Past and present professional affiliations include the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
Dr. Wesely has undergone specialized training in Regenerative Medicine including both BMAC and Lipoaspiration MSC harvesting techniques and laboratory methods, preparation and administration of PRP, Prolotherapy, Neural Prolotherapy and the full spectrum of spinal and joint injections. He currently holds working appointments at several medical and surgical practices in the Reno area and has clinical privileges at all major area hospital systems and ambulatory surgical centers.
Our Mission: Help our patients to return to active lives, through compassionate, evidence-based spine care, including advanced imaging and diagnostics, non-surgical treatment options and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
One of the only ways to permanently treat your back is to make it stronger, more flexible and more resistant to injury. Our physical therapists help patients learn special movements that will help make that happen. Our number one goal is to help you return to your everyday activities without back or neck pain. If surgery is necessary, regardless of the type of spine condition you have, the neurosurgeons at SpineNevada Minimally Invasive Spine Institute can help. SpineNevada is the only spine center in the State of Nevada to be included in SpineCenterNetwork.com — the only national listing of credentialed spine centers. To be included, a spine center must have board-certified or eligible spine surgeons and physical medicine physicians; spine physical therapists; an emphasis on nonsurgical capabilities; and report clinical outcomes.
Stem Cells
Adult Adipose-derived Stem Cells are said to be multipotential as they can give growth to many types of tissues like, skin and it’s integuments, tendon, muscle, vascular, bone, cartilage, collagen, nerve cells. Even certain organs have been grown using Stem Cells. Embryonic Stem Cells are said to be Pleuripotentia as they can give rise to some 200 types of tissues. Smart cells, when mixed with PRP which contains over 8 growth factors have the ability to seek areas of “tissue damage”. These areas are associated with micro-inflammation. The Stem Cell complex then starts the process of repair and regeneration.
We are a Las Vegas-based Stem Cell therapy team lead by Dr. Lambert R. Abeyatunge. MD., FACS. We specialize in a recent technique involving the harvesting of these stem cells by mini liposuction and concentrating them in a suitable medium, admixing the cells with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) obtained from the same person and re-injecting the mixture in a saline solution intravenously or by injecting into areas where growth and healing is needed. Dr. Abeyatunge is certified by The German Association of Regenerative Medicine.
